Aggressive and cold as a coach and warm and nice as a basketball player, he falls in love with the team manager, Ueda Shizuka. He loves Fujima Keiko also, but thinks it is better off for both of them if they just remain friends.
#5 C Toru Hanagata(Glasses (Megane)) - 3rd year Considered one of the best centers of Kanagawa, he is the best friend of Fujima Kenji and the first person to accept Sakuragi as a great player. He and Shizuka were friends since elementary. He does not approve Fujima Keiko because she always made Fujima Kenji sad.

Ueda Shizuka - 3rd year As the first team manager of Shoyo high School, she tries her best. She loves Fujima Kenji but thinks she has no chance with him because of his popularity and because she has a big family problem. She is faithful and loyal to everyone and even her family who abuses her.
Futamata Issei - New coach for Shoyo. He is young and handsome so he is quiet popular with the lady teachers. He is good to Fujima Kenji and Kenji is very much influenced by him. A bit like Anzai-sensei, he isn't a harsh coach and does his best. He likes Fujima because Fujima reminds him of himself.
